MUA Crush: Niehla Ollie


Niehla Ollie is a trained plus size makeup artist and beauty influencer whose love for beauty was fostered early in life by her mother. Niehla’s love for all things fabulous grew as she began to create makeup looks on her friends as well as herself. She has over a decade of experience ranging from print, red carpet, bridal, television, film, music video and makeup tutorials and a passion for helping others recognize their beauty.


Niehla was trained in makeup artistry at Columbia College, London Eyes International Makeup Academy, and MAC Cosmetics and her artistry has been showcased across leading events and media, landing her a diverse clientele ranging from politicians to US Olympic Athletes. 

She has done make up for the likes of  Angela Bassett, Marvin Sapp, Gunnar Peterson, David and Tamela Mann, Judge Greg Mathis, Rutina Wesley and many others. For years Niehla’s artistry has been seen worldwide on television shows including the O.W.N network’s Unfaithful, the Judge Mathis Show and the Judge Pirro Show and music videos for R. Kelly.

Her work has graced the pages of Vogue Italia, Us Weekly, Pause Magazine and Deux Hommes. Specializing in red carpet looks, Niehla has beautified faces for New York Fashion Week, the American Music Awards, Essence Black Women in Hollywood and The Oscars.

Some of her favorite products include: Embryolisse Lait-creme concentre’ and cooling eye gel, Skindinavia’s oil control makeup primer spray and her make up trick; Peach and orange toned color correcting concealers mixed with regular flesh-toned concealer give the necessary brightening under the eyes without looking ghostly.
