Runway Alert: Luxury PSBrand, Dearcurves Hits The Parisian Catwalk!
Paris Plus-size Fashion Show recently held at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel, Marceau, Paris and Luxury plus size womens-wear brand, Dearcurves, took part to showcase curated pieces from its range of collections. The brand which is an African inspired clothing line for full-figured women was founded in 2012 by plus-size model and Designer Linda Idegwu, translating her love of Africa by integrating the use of conventional Ankara prints with vibrant patterns in well crafted pieces.
The brand has quickly become a favorite for the modern plus woman as Dearcurves wholly represents excellence and continues to create the plus size silhouette through its simple and straight forward products.
According to Marie Ospina of Huffington Post, “There’s something passionate about Dearcurves designs: some kind of energy; some kind of rhythm and rhyme. Although minimalist and chic, the vibrant patterns and exaggerated silhouettes of the clothes make a statement. They yearn to be seen. They seek confident, strong plus-size women who are unashamed of their bodies”.
Pieces from the brand have been worn by award winning singer/songwriter, Jazmine Sullivan, Oscar nominated actress, Gabby Sidibe, body positive advocate and model, Jezra M and founder of AboutThatCurvyLife, Latasha Ngwube.
