My Body, My Size, My Goals! Plus Size Model, Candice Huffine Creates Trendy Sports-Wear For Every Woman


Candice Huffine who is one of the most recognized plus models in the world and has recently come out with a sportswear line called Day Won. With experience of over a decade in the modelling and fashion scene, she has worked with several prominent brands in the industry and was also one of the models featured in plus size fashion giant, Lane Bryant’s #ImNoAngel campaign. She has also walked the runway for plus-size-inclusive designers like Christian Siriano and Prabal Gurung and has graced the covers of Vogue Italia, Vogue, Glamour, ELLE, The Times Magazine and SMODA.

Combining her passion for fashion and sports, Huffine launched the much anticipated active-wear brand, Day-Won after being inspired by her completion of the Boston marathon. The brand which is all about creating trendy, comfortable and feel-good sport out fit for every woman spots fabulous pieces like marble and star printed leggings, bandanas, mesh crop tank, cardigans and so much more.

 Recently added pieces to the brand sport a catchy slogan Can’t touch this!  Candice shared images from the campaign on Instagram, saying: Our bodies, our confidence, our power, our strength, our rights, our dreams, our size, our goals and our drive are #notupforgrabs

The reveal launch photos which were taken by photographer Fumie Hoppe features artist Simone, dancer Jessie Diaz-Herrera, fitness trainer Alyssa Expósito, model and body activist Mia Kang and model Chloé Véro. On working with these amazing women, Candice expressed joy saying: “This image and group of women was something I always dreamt of- as a brand and as a female athlete constantly seeking a reflection of myself in the fitness community”.

Candice founded  Project Start,  a collaborative initiative with Women’s Running Magazine to encourage and inspire women to begin their running journey and she has been recognized as a runner for two years. On reaching and crossing the finish line at the Boston Marathon race, she vowed to never tell herself she “can’t” ever again, learning that nothing in this life is impossible if you let go of fear and doubt.

Candice is certainly showing no sign of slowing down and you can be sure to keep your fingers crossed for her next venture.
