You’ve probably heard the new hashtag #Beychella making its rounds on social media, it’s for good reasons too. Beyonce Knowles Carter popularly known as Queen Bey gave an outstanding performance at the just concluded Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Beyonce was one of the headliner performing artist for this years Coachella Fest alongside rapper Eminem, Cardi-B and so many others.
After being absent at last year’s Coachella due to her pregnancy, Queen Bey held nothing back this year during her live performance with former Destiny Child members, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland. Her personal performances were also amazing as she serenaded the crowned with hits from both her previous and latest albums.
However, Noelle Rodriguez, Jore Marshall and Amari who are all plus size professional dancers have been trending since the reverting performance. Beyonce’s dance moves are often an exercise in discipline, craftsmanship, strength and pure adrenaline, with all her dancers in perfect synchrony to every beat played. For the plus size community, seeing a performer like Beyonce who has always had curves going for her is one thing but the surprise of actual plus size dancers at Coachella was a moment of validation for both the spectators and the dancers themselves. Tweets of the photographs of three dancers have gone viral with each of them ex[pressing their awe and gratitude for being a part of what many are calling the most memorable performance ever! For Noelle, Jore and Amari, the opportunity of sharing the stage with Queen Bey before a great audience was one of a lifetime.

The CURVYcon 2018 has already announced a body positive dance workshop as part of its program line up for this year’s edition featuring Amari and Jore Marshall. The curvy dancers will be teaching participants how to dominate the stage in the epic and inspiring way they stood out at Beychella.
