It was no longer a regular Wednesday morning as six curvy women hit the streets of Time Square Manhattan, New York for a peaceful protest to rally for body positivity, more size inclusivity and diversity. With their placards, heels, angel wings and sexy lingerie in place, health coach Florinda Estrada, model and actress Stephanie Bella, blogger Lora Lyee, musician Meara Rose, actress Jonna Capone and model Daisy Christina took over Time Square in celebration of National Lingerie Day.
With this protest, the perfect mix of plus size women from different races have passed a message to the world and become the voice of so many women out there. The gorgeous lingerie they all had on was courtesy of plus size focused giant retailer, SimplyBe.
Sharing a positive message on their media handle, SimplyBe says: “Remember ladies, your worth is not measured by your measurements!”
Their placards carried captions that read “Our curves are no secret” “All women are angels” “Every woman deserves to feel sexy”. Ace photographer, Karriza who has also been involved in several body positive shoots was on hand to capture every moment.
One of the body positive protester’s, blogger Lora Lyee wrote on her Instagram handle saying; “Happy #nationallingerieday Today was the most amazing experience of my life. We marched around midtown in lingerie with our wings and heads held high!! Thank you @simplybeusa for this empowering experience. I am so high off of all the positive energy”
