Winston Duke has been making waves since he began his acting career in theater in 2004, featuring in network series like Modern Family, Person of Interest, Law & Order, but it was his role in the American blockbuster movie, Black Panther that truly shot him into the spotlight. In the movie directed by Ryan Coogler, Winston played the character of M’Baku a powerful, ruthless warrior who is the leader of Wakanda’s mountain tribe, the Jabari, who are in protest to T’Challa being the new king. The University of Buffalo graduate is definitely a star to watch out for.
The Trinidad born actor recently graced the covers of Rollacoaster Magazine which has previous features of artist like Tinie Tempah, Douglas Booth, Rita Ora and so many others. For their upcoming spring/summer issue, Winston sheds more light on his role as M’Baku and the impact Black Panther has had on his personal life. The star actor could not have rocked the bomber jacket and trousers, paired with TriEvo Black Panther shoes and Nixon watch accessory in a more dapper way.
In a previous interview with Vanity Fair, Winston Says “I would love more stories with strong characters of color who don’t always fit the mold that Hollywood has created in the past. I want more opportunities for us.”
He also said: “My life is changing,” he says calmly. “I’m becoming a lot more watched, and I can tell.”
We are definitely watching the gorgeous brawny actor and can’t wait to see what he gets up to next!
